‘The Fastest Car in the World’: Why Auto Mechanics Can’t Stop Talking About the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+

automotive collegeUnveiled last year, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is, without a doubt, one of the fastest cars ever made. The aptly named vehicle famously broke the world record speed for a production car when it hit 490.5km/h last year.
It’s one of the most powerful cars in Bugatti’s history, and it’s no wonder that aspiring auto mechanics can’t stop talking about it. Read on to learn more about this record-breaking rocket of a sports car.

Automotive College Students Will Appreciate the Car’s Powerful Engine

Let’s start by talking about the engine, because that is where the beauty of this car really lies. The Super Sport 300+ has an incredibly powerful 8 litre, w16 engine that can generate more than 1,500 bhp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque.
As anyone in automotive college will know, that’s a lot of power! The Super Sport 300+ can accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. It’s hardly surprising that Bugatti has nicknamed its engine ‘Thor’.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ Has an Aerodynamic Design

The Super Sport 300+ has performance at its core. Made with lightweight carbon fibre, the Super Sport 300+ weighs less than 2,000kg. The car has an aerodynamic design so that it can fly down the road at light speed.
It’s also the kind of sports car that will make jaws drop, both on the racetrack and in the showroom. The design combines aesthetics and functionality. The quad headlights, for example, give the car its track-ready look, and also send air to the front brakes.
The interior of the car is enough to make even the most amateur of drivers feel like they’re Lewis Hamilton. The cockpit proudly features the 500km/h speedometer, as well as a glass roof that floods the car with light during the day, and lets the driver feel as though they are literally racing against the clouds.

Auto Mechanics are Unlikely to See the Super Sport 300+ in Their Shops

Sadly, the Super Sport 300+ is as exclusive as it is fast, and auto mechanics should expect this car to remain in their dreams and not in their shops. With a price tag of more than $5million, this is truly a luxury sports car made for the racetrack and not the daily commute. As well as this, only 30 editions were made, and these sold out faster than you can say ‘world record’.

The Rest of the Bugatti Chiron Lineup

The Super Sport 300+ is part of a wider lineup of super fast, super powerful vehicles. Earlier this year, Bugatti unveiled the all-new Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport. Whilst it’s not faster than the Super Sport 300+, it is said to be a smoother drive.
Auto fanatics can also admire the original Bugatti Chiron from 2016, the Chiron Sport 2018, and the 110 Ans Bugatti, a limited-edition Chiron Sport made to celebrate Bugatti’s 110-year anniversary.
