Practical Service Advisor Training for the "real world"
Through industry partnerships, CATI provides students with training on the most advanced computer systems in the industry. As a student in the Advanced Automotive Service Advisor program, you will spend more than 50% of your time in computer labs learning the nuts and bolts of industry software applications, including:
Reynolds & Reynolds® – A dealership system used for service and parts pricing, parts inventory cataloguing, service writing and customer management.
Automotive Business Management Systems (ABMS) - the standard software package used in most small dealerships and repair facilities.
Snap-On Shop Key - the industry standard estimating tool with parts look-up and labour estimating guides.
International Parts Corporation (IPC) - one of the most widely used electronic parts catalogues, IPC lets you locate parts throughout the world.
In addition, CATI has recently installed a parts & service counter similar to what you’ll find in the real world. You’ll practice “doing the job” with workplace simulations of typical customer service situations.
CATI is pleased to offer a Workplace Experience program designed to complement your classroom training, giving you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in your chosen field. Workplace Experience is an excellent way to make contacts, develop relationships and build a professional image within the industry. During your 8-week unpaid workplace experience, you’ll learn more about yourself, your capabilities, and have the chance to showcase your skills and qualifications. In fact, CATI Workplace Experience students are recognized as some of the best in the industry, and many placements have led to permanent employment.
Workplace Experience is available for qualifying students only, and is not a part of the diploma program.
This program is offered at both the Cambridge Campus and the Mississauga Campus.

As a middle aged man going back to school, "CATI" and their very knowledgeable staff made the transition very comfortable. I came away from "CATI" with the knowledge, relevant skills and confidence needed to walk right into my neighborhood dealership and secure a position as a "Service Advisor" with a great future. I love my new job and now earning a very good living.
After many letters of accommodations and three raises within one year, I know "CATI" is the reason why. Thanks "CATI" and their great staff. - Patrick Shea, Service Advisor
