The X5’s M50i models are certainly pricier, but anyone with an automotive mechanic career will be impressed by the features included. The M50i is powered by a V8 engine, responsible for its impressive 523 horsepower, which allows for a 4.1 second 0-60mph time.

The xDrive45e option is BMW’s plug-in hybrid X5 model, which has features similar to other models with the 6-cylinder engine, distinguished by its 48-volt mild-hybrid system. BMW’s 2021 X5 hybrid has air suspension and can travel on solely electricity for about 48 kilometres, making it a competitive hybrid SUV option.  

Luxury Features of the X5

In addition to its impressive engine, BMW’s 2021 X5 comes with a range of luxury features those in mechanic school will appreciate. The X5 has great safety features, including automatic emergency braking, a warning for lane-departures, blind-spot monitoring, and collision warning. The X5 is also equipped with four driving modes to select from, including Eco Pro and Sport Plus. All X5s feature automatic climate control, night vision assistance, a moonroof with panoramic views, remote engine start, keyless entry, hands-free power tailgate, and an adjustable steering column. Its most powerful and expensive model, the M50i, also comes with a real-leather interior, massaging front seats, and zone-specific climate control.
