My experience at CATI taught me a new trade and the people their helped get the job I have today. I would like to say thank-you to all the staff at CATI , all of you in your own way have made me a better person, and gave me the confidence and skills to aim for the top. - Ken Wales – Dispatcher/Grain Trader
I am an injured worker on WSIB currently enrolled in the LMR programmed attending a career college CATI Canadian Automotive & Trucking Institute located in Mississauga.
CATI is an environment full of motivation amongst other things. The course I am doing is called Transportation Operations Specialist (TOS). My instructor, Mr. Mark Yardy is very thorough with his teaching methods. I have had maximum support from him with this programme especially since it’s brand new to me. Mr. Yardy is the type of individual that would go all out of his busy schedule and routine to address any concerns and/or issues anytime needed. It very difficult not to understand what he lectures as his teachings is very clear and interactive with “lay-man” terminologies.
This college has an individual responsible for the student services. The students dubbed him as the Principle of the school. His name is Mr. John Kerr. Like myself, a lot of students sees John as a father figure, not only for his age but his kind words of advice is always present. He has portrayed a great deal of moral support in all aspect. Personally I had a medical condition which warranted my absence from the college for a few weeks and all I have got from John is nothing but his support to help me cope with my situation and for which I am ever so grateful.
Another instructor at this college happens to be a team-mate of mine at a previous workplace. His name is Mr. Pat Lipscomb. As the trends goes on at CATI, Pat has demonstrated leadership, support and extreme knowledge on the computer courses I have taken in his classroom.
Overall my experience at CATI is a very productive and constructive one. I have been fortunate to attend that college and to have such an unforgettable experience. Definitely I will not hesitate to recommend anyone to CATI. - Michael Kowlessar
