Ozone Depletion Prevention

As an automotive educator, CATI supports the Ministry of the Environment’s continued efforts to protect the environment through the safe and responsible handling of ozone depleting chemicals. In compliance with the government’s mandatory certification requirements for all persons handling or repairing air conditioning systems, CATI offers a Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute (HRAI) approved Ozone Depletion Program.

As an authorized Ministry of the Environment training facility, CATI certifies, re-certifies and tests technicians, apprentices and parts & service personnel from across the region through our three training and certification options:

Full course

Consists of a 6½ hour intensive training session and a 1½ hour exam for those who are getting their certification for the first time or whose certification has already expired.
